Good service and nice atmosphere. I loved being able to sit outside. The sauce flight is such a good idea! however, i truly only enjoyed 2 sauces. But it was fun being able to sample different flavors.
The fries were good, but nothing to rave about. the catfish sandwhich was pretty much the same. Good, but not impressive. I wish the catfish was fried a bit more. however, it was a nice size piece of fish. i would have liked better sauces on it or maybe cook with one of their bbq sauces. it just felt a bit bland.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you so much for those suggestions. We'll talk to our chef and see if any of those ideas will improve our operations. Thanks again.

I'm breaking one of my personal rules and writing a 5 Star review on my first visit but the vibe, service (Jack is great), prices, quality and above all with BBQ, taste was that good.
I'm a part of a team that pre-tests potential Road Rally stops for a NJ Porsche Club. We start our events early on a Sunday and finish them at quality eateries - usually with 100 or more participants. They demand good food, a well stocked bar and super service. This BBQ restaurant scores on every key point. The atmosphere is rustic, but classy. They have a warm and inviting bar area with a skilled barkeep and an impressive menu of tempting beers. NOTE: Beer is very important to a German car club!
I fell in love with the pork sliders and would have eaten three if I wanted to buy new pants tomorrow! My friends on the team tried the brisket and pronounced it really well done and tender. However, their ribs came in for special praise. We all said "these ribs have the most meat I have ever had" and the taste matched the quantity. In fact, with most ribs, I wrestle with the meat to get every molecule. These, literally, fall off the bone. That shows excellent technique from the Pit Master.
We spoke to the owner and we have already negotiated putting this wonderful, inventive BBQ restaurant on our rally schedule.
Highly recommended...Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0Business owner information

Update from my previous review to reflect take out:
Oink was the first place we ordered from once the quarantine started. Placed the order online and couldn't have been easier. The food didn't lose any quality between the restaurant and the house, which I was fearful of. The portions I think may have even been a little bit bigger than I remember.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Aug 25, 2018Previous reviewI was so happy to come here on a Thursday night and have to wait. We sat outside on a beautiful June night and had perfect weather. The waitress was personable and gave her suggestions on foods. The brisket was cooked perfect! The Mac and cheese was no joke. Cheesy! It was heavy though. The cornbread was also really great!
I wish they had more beer options though! - Apr 16, 2019
Solid 3.5 star establishment in the middle of nowhere! Had an appointment in a nearby town and were a little early so decided to grab some lunch. Found this place mostly from signs off the highway, but Yelp seemed to have decent reviews. My husband got the brisket and ribs with slaw and collard greens. Brisket was very good but ribs were a little dry. they had a flight of housemade sauces, the black cherry was definitely the best.
I went with the chipotle chicken tacos and a side of slaw. Again, chicken was good but not dry and not greasy like i saw in other reviews. Probably will not be in the area again for a while, but if you find yourself here, I would check it out. Especially in the summer - the outdoor area is really beautiful.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Ashley F.Ithaca, NY1136129Mar 9, 2019
Absolutely won't be back, a bad experience from beginning to end. We didn't make reservation because it's a BBQ joint... so there was a 40 minute wait on a Saturday night. Ok fine, there is always a wait for great BBQ.
We went to the very small bar to order a drink while we waited. The very rude bartender took forever to get to me even though I was standing right at the front. Finally got my drinks, I had exact change for the tab so I paid and walked back to my husband to get a couple dollars for tip since I didn't have the right denomination to give to her. The bartender yelled to all the patrons at the bar that I was rude for not leaving a tip when I saw how busy she was. Although the service was insanely slow and despite the beyond rude comment, I walked back to the bar with my singles to leave the tip I originally intended. For a place with "Brew" in the name, I expect a better bar and brew experience. Or if you have long wait times, you should have a bar area to support a large volume of people waiting for tables.
Finally we were seated. There was an irate customer next to us that had been waiting over an hour for food for a table of 4. We were not offered waters, we needed to ask. Service was slow. It was apparent that they have kinks to work through... however they have been open a year now and should have worked through these issues. The employees were clearly frustrated at the entire situation. The server really didn't come back to check on us at all, and never filled the waters.
We had brisket and ribs. They were both ridiculously DRY! Wow, so dry. Think Thanksgiving turkey but not the good kind. They forgot to bring us the flight of sauces, we got them later. They look completely different than other reviews here, all the same color. Everything was very spicy instead of being able to control the heat level with the sauce choices. The cole slaw was spicy! Took about 30 minutes to get our food which is not what I expect for pre-cooked BBQ... the cornbread was ok. The fries were stale like they had been sitting out for awhile. Nothing was hot.
Weak experience all around from the bartender to service to food. Definitely won't be back. I also saw reviews of bad service and dry meat on a local Facebook group so I find the positive reviews on here mind boggling. Can't believe this place is still in business to be honest.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Kurt P.Red Hill, PA213052324Mar 28, 2019
Had dinner here with my family today as we were passing through the area. I had been here before and appreciated the BBQ so I recommended we eat here. We had the pulled pork and brisket combo and the hot chicken sandwich.
Their brisket came thinly sliced but still had some decent visible bark. My slices were a nice combination of fatty and lean, both of which were very tender and juicy. I was also able to taste the smoke
I found the pulled pork a little bland, with only minimal seasoning and not much smoke. In fact, the only thing that had any real flavor to it was the sauce. The meat was tender enough, but just a tad dry. I'm not the biggest pulled pork fan in general, so I might just be biased.
The chicken sandwich on the other hand was real bad. The sandwich was too greasy to eat. I think they put way too much butter on the bread when they toasted it and left the chicken in the fryer too long at a low temp.
The best part of the meal was the cornbread, but who comes to a BBQ place just for the cornbread. The BBQ sauce flight is nice also, I was surprised how much I liked the cherry sauce.
If i were to come back I would stay away from the sandwich and just go for the BBQ. I just can't rate them any higher than three stars because they don't do anything great.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - David B.Berkeley Heights, NJ71518545May 7, 2018
We were looking forward to our first visit here. We arranged our schedule to make sure we would be at the restaurant at three. The Yelp page advised that the place opened at that time. So, we cut our hike short in the Delaware Water Gap and hustled down 46 and 31 toward Hampton.
When we arrived the lot was empty and the door was locked. An employee on the loading dock/back stoop interrupted her cell call to advise that the place opened at 5. Another employee arriving for work laughed when we advised that we read that the restaurant opened at 3.
Very disappointed.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Valerie M.Manville, NJ80173Jul 27, 2019
After a long day of tubing down the Delaware River, we knew exactly where to go to satisfy our huge appetites. This place boasts outdoor seating, an amazing BBQ/TexMex menu, and a great selection of craft Beer and craft cocktails! Can't go wrong anywhere you look .. they have The cutest decorations of pigs and cows everywhere!! We will definitely make this place a destination spot for dinner or after tubing hunger . I was very impressed. They just opened so it looks like they were working out some kinks, based on previous reviews.
Food was actually great, i'm a food snob and thought some of it was comparable to the BBQ I had in Nashville. We ordered wings, tacos, and a brisket platter.
Service wasn't bad considering how much our waitress had to handle.
I'm giving them a 5 because I see the potential. Also prices were super cheap! $7 for wings.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mike D.Clinton, NJ29264229May 27, 2018
New BBQ place right off Rt. 78. This is housed in an old historic building that used to be The Perryville Inn.
There are multiple dining rooms, a small bar area and an outdoor patio. Bar area is too small...only 5 seats and poorly designed. The people were nice enough but some were a bit abrupt and lacked simple customer service techniques.....saying things like "do you want that, or what?"
The food was very good. Ribs are tender, smokey and the sauce has a nice spice to it...not too sweet. Sliders are excellent...we enjoyed pulled pork, chicken and brisket. I found it odd that there is no brisket platter.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
